Editorial Standards

Every post on The InnerSmith Blog is written for InnerSmith by a named author, reviewed by a named reviewer before it is published, and lists the sources it draws on. This page explains how that works.

Who writes and reviews

Posts are written by Esha Verma, Content Writer at InnerSmith. Before publication, each post is reviewed by Hitansha Bhatia, Business Strategy Associate at InnerSmith, who holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology. The author and the reviewer are credited at the top of every post, and each has a profile page describing their background.

How posts are researched

We start from the research rather than from a keyword. Claims about how stress, sleep, loneliness or mood work are checked against peer-reviewed studies and the published guidance of health and research institutions such as the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Cleveland Clinic and university research groups. Where the evidence is mixed or early, the post says so.

Sources

Every post links its sources in the text and lists them at the end, with the publisher and year, so readers can check what we read. We do not accept payment for links or coverage.

Review before publishing

The reviewer checks each post against its sources for accuracy, and reads it for balance and tone. The blog describes everyday stress and emotional life in plain language, without diagnosing or alarming, and anything that reads as medical advice is rewritten or removed before the post goes live.

Updates and corrections

When a post is revised, the date shown as “Updated” changes and its sources are checked again. If you spot an error, write to [email protected] and we will look into it and correct the post where needed.

What the blog is not

InnerSmith supports everyday stress management. The blog is educational. It is not medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. If you are in distress or worried about your health, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

InnerSmith and this blog

The blog is published by InnerSmith, the team building an AI-guided wellness app that matches calming activities to how your day feels. Posts draw on the same research that shapes the app, and they sometimes describe how InnerSmith approaches a topic. They are written to be useful whether or not you ever use the app.
